Good Day
Driving with Penguins
A man was driving down the road with twenty
penguins in the back seat. The police stop him and say that he can't
drive around with the penguins in the car and should take them to the
zoo. The man agrees and drives off.
The next day the same man is driving down the road with twenty
penguins in the back and again. He is stopped by the same police officer
who says, "Hey! I though I told you to take those to the zoo."
The man replies "I did. Today I'm taking them to the movies."

Yeeehaw - 365 down and many many more to go.
Feb 7 and 8 marked the 1 year since my diagnosis. Hard to believe it has been that long. 23 treatments, a couple of CT Scans, 2 minor surgeries and many doctor appointments happened during that time. These are just a few events related to treatment. The past year has been a good one besides this weee situation we are in. Out of everything which went on this past year there is 1 thing which stands out most to us.
The outpouring of love and support Teresa and I have received from all our family and friends has been the highlight of the year and ongoing week after week. Letters, books, photo albums, posters, a number of surprises and to many phone calls to count has really helped us along. We embrace every positive word, act of kindness and generosity we receive from everyone. This all reminds us we are not alone while we battle the Big C - a battle as we all know is tough. Right now with your support keeping our attitude in check, a treatment which has so far been effective and a whole lot to look forward to - the next year is going to be another good 1.
I also have to thank my best friend, the one who puts a tremendous amount of strength in this battle, my wife Teresa. Teresa - Don't ever second guess how wonderful you are, your love support and positive stand is incredible which makes you an amazing person. If anyone says otherwise - send them my way. Boy do I have a story which says otherwise. This chapter in our story - you should hold your head high and be very proud. We take it 1 day at a time and have many days to look forward to as long as we keep smilin.
Cheers everyone to a successful 367 days and counting.
Remember: Keep smilin as a frown will bring everyone down.

A day with Jay is a blog which follows our journey in the battle against Cancer. Here I will share treatment updates, feelings (good or bad) and other miscellaneous information about my wife and I. We hope you find some entertainment, inspiration and become more informed about this non discriminating disease. Teresa and I have been given a challenge, we accept the challenge and we will overcome this challenge.
