Examination 1 results - hoping for more.

 1. ‘Take it easy, Doc. You’re boldly going where no man has gone before!’
2. ‘Find Amelia Earhart yet?’
3. ‘Can you hear me NOW?’
4. ‘Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet?’
5. ‘You know, in Arkansas , we’re now legally married.’
6. ‘Any sign of the trapped miners, Chief?’
7. ‘You put your left hand in, you take your left hand out…’
8. ‘Hey! Now I know how a Muppet feels!’
9. ‘Could you write a note for my wife saying that my head is not up there?’

Good day

This joke is in light of today's hospital visit and examination aka Test 1.
Comments doctors often hear while conducting a Colonoscopy - before the sedatives hit that is.

Visit    www.getyourbuttseen.ca for some more fun.

To start off the day - BTW waking up at 430 in the morning to not go fishing = not fun.
Had to be at admitting for 730 - walked over (the hospital is less the a block from my back door)  and was on time to admitting.  Once admitted, wondered around and found the enormous line up for the Endoscopy unit.  You would have thought it was an amusement pack ride for the middle aged.  If they only knew.  Was not long till I was modeling a fabulous hospital gown and house coat.  It is a good look - not sure why so many people knock it.  To make a long morning short.  Results are in.

Spoke with the surgeon after the examination - once the sedative had wore off.  He stated the tumor was still there, same as in the first examination last year.  Which from my perspective is not a bad thing - not what I was hoping to hear - but not bad. The good news is there is not much change and symptoms of the problem are minimal to non existent.  The surgeon's  main concern though is that there has been Cancer found in multiple locations, liver and lungs. Limiting his options.  With the liver still being effected there is nothing he can do at this time.  Sooo - I asked - if the liver was not a concern then surgery is an option?  He confirmed.  So lets go Chemo treatments keep doing what you are doing.   He did ask if the MIR or PET scan were scheduled and was encouraging those tests be done.  So meeting with the Oncologist next week means we push for Test numero 2.

Let's go Cheeemmmooo - lets go. (my cheer for the next few months)  Sorry hockey yer bumped.

Slowly getting back into the swing of things.

A police dog responds to an ad for work with the FBI.  "Well," says the personnel director, "you'll have to meet some strict requirements. First, you must type at least 60 words per minute.
" Sitting down at the typewriter, the dog types out 80 words per minute.
"Also," says the director, "you must pass a physical and complete the obstacle course."
This perfect canine specimen finishes the course in record time.
"There's one last requirement," the director continues; "you must be bilingual." With confidence, the dog looks up at him and says, "Meow!"

Good Day

Taking a break from the fish jokes for now.  Though I have some good dog jokes and other animal jokes in the arsenal to keep you knee slapping and shaking your head.

Teresa and I at Tony's Place.
Well back from our trip to Ontario.  Had a GREAT time.  Driving out was fun, taking the US route is fast, better gas pricing and the highways are excellent.  Chicago though needs some serious traffic flow work.  Easter Sunday traffic should not have been a parking lot for 2 hours for no reason.

Overall trip was great.  Was very happy to see Grandma and spend some time with Mom and Tim.  Although we cant make it back in May for Phil's wedding, being able to attend the stag and doe and cheer them on was wonderful.  Had alot of fun.   Really nice to see everyone, have a few drinks and hang out.   McMullens pizza is already missed.   Though the extra 10lbs I put on during those 2 weeks will not be missed once they are gone.  Clearly to many chicken wings, pizza, beer and not enough carrot sticks or celery.

Treatments have continued, blah.  The last cycle was rough - that is what happens when we enjoy a couple weeks away.  Get to feel back to normal then - WHAM - hit like elephant stampede to an ant hill.   Nothing I cant handle though.  :)
