Joke: Why does the Mermaid Ariel wear Sea Shells? D-Shells are to big.

So off to treatment tomorrow and the start of the cycle. Feeling good heading in as usual. No changes in that area.
With the weeks slipping on by, fall is certainly here and the leaves are dropping all over the place. At least I dont have much lawn to rake - though the 3 large trees in the back yard have alot of leaves. This year though picked up a leaf blower/vacuum. I will no longer make fun of people vacuuming their lawn. Took it for a test spin the other night - cleaning up a pile of racked leaves was a breeze. Looking forward to playing more with the new toy - especially when Home Depot was clearing them out at $25. Always feel better when I get a good deal.
Not only does this time of year bring leaves, candy then follow with some seasonal cheer - it is also the cold and flu season. While going through treatments this is especially important for me to be aware of. My immune system is drastically effected by the Chemotherapy when trying to combat illness and recovery is almost impossible. A simple cold can mean a stop to treatments, pneumonia and hospitalization. Though I may not see everyone face to face - we all have to take care in protecting ourselves, family / friends and others we maybe in contact with. Taking the time to check with your doctor about a flu shot does not take much. Using anit-bacterial hand sanitizers and frequent hand washing is also a great way to reduce the spread of germs. We all can make a conscious effort when at home, work or in public of what we have touched and take the care to stay safe. Not saying to be germaphobic about things - just some extra care this time of year.
Keep smilin everyone - and pray for all those who are fighting the Cancer battle.
