Enjoying these days

Thank you everyone for your love and support over the past 2 weeks while trying to understand what is going on.  Everything has happened quickly and with every encouraging word we have grown stronger to face the battle ahead.  I know there are a great deal of people behind us while we charge forward, and it is this tremendous power which is going to help beat this. After this weekend and the additional holiday, preparation will be full steam ahead.
This weekend was a chill out weekend with Teresa, it was really special.  I am not feeling 100% though while hanging out with my wife makes it all go away, there is no pain, no ill feelings and no worries.  Just the moments and the odd not so good movie.   Along with time spent with Teresa, we were out for dinner last night with some family and friends and it was an excellent evening of very little critical illness talk.  Just some games and some well needed laughs.

Now -  I am looking for some suggestions to inspirational movies.
My list so far I have
Rudy starring Sean Aston.
And of course the Rocky Anthology will be played through.

Movies which have the odds stacked against and some hard work brought success to overcome the odds.

Cheers for now.

Jason

  3. I have the movies for you Jay. You've always made fun of me for watching these movies but I think you'll like these as I'm sure you haven't seen them.
We have the normal guy movies of Rudy and field of dreams that can make any man cry no matter who you are ... but here are some that can just tug at your heart and might relate a little bit more.

    A walk to remember
    Sweet November

    The lake house
    Hardball
(yes I had a time that was revolving around Keanu reeves but he had some great years with heart felt movies)

Now that I started writing this I googled this and here is what came up. I haven't seen some and others have been listed. Maybe this is a good start?

Also with posting this list maybe some of us can go out and enjoy the same movies and relate in some ways the best we can.

Now if you do watch any of these I will also add in the one of the greatest movies of all time .... GOONIES !!!

Why you might ask? Because you just need to remember those times when we were young and had those adventures like we used too. Boys will be boys ;) Just think of all the frogs ... man they hate us don't they? but their legs were good ;)

    Love you Jay ;)
