CT results are in....

Good Day

How about I start off with the good news.   The DR opened up with he is looking into surgery or THE spot on my liver.  Which I think my jaw hit my lap as there has always been multiple spots and no option of surgery.  He showed us the scan and the spot from this CT and compared it to the very first scan.  Which was really neat to see  - the first scan showed a marble sized growth and a couple of spots.  The marble is gone and only a 9MM spot is appearing.  Which could open the door to doing Radiation therapy along side the chemo treatments - in hopes of further shrinking of the main infected site.  The Dr is also going to be consulting a Surgeon on doing a surgery for the main site, again also been deemed inoperable partially because of the liver, the other part due to stranding.  If the surgeon gives the thumbs up to doing surgery I will end up with a Colostomy Bag  , that I can deal with.  So that is the good news so far for Plan A.  We do have a Plan B and Plan C as back up if plan A does not follow through, which will be in future posts.

Now alitle bit about our furry companion Keimo.  He is a small little guy with a big personality and a huge hunger for attention.  It took me almost 2 hours to type the paragraph above as he was continuously at my feet as I was not paying 100% attention to him.  Once he one of his many toys he will drop it at your feet and want you to through it or play tug of war.  If you dont start playing right away he will growl, paw at you or grab a random shoe or slipper and prance all proud right in front of you.  He knows he has your attention then.  And that is all he cares about for abit.  Then off to sleep - which he does more then I do.

That is it for now.

Keep on smilin everyone - dont let the small stuff bring on a frown.

  2. I know exactly how you feel right now, Jay (and Theresa!). When faced with such a life-changing and gruesome challenge, it's nothing less than a miracle to finally get good news - and not bad. Congratulations on the progress you've made - it is not an easy journey. Continue to find the strength - and keep up the fight.
