Good Day and have a great weekend.
Fish Joke:
A young man and an old man were fishing on a pier. The young man started telling the old one that the night before he caught a trout that was over 3 1/2 foot long.
The old man replied "Oh yea, well I was here 2 nights ago and I hooked something huge. After a 30 minute fight I finally got it up and it was an old lantern and the thing was still lit."
The young man said "Your lying. I can't believe that."
The old man quickly responded. "well young man if you take a foot off your trout I will put out my lantern."
So on Thursday we met with the Oncologist. The good news is he is happy with the progress so far. Treatments have met 2 goals. 1 stop the pain and spread of the Cancer. 2 - start to shrink the spots. So far so good - next goal is to see the spots shrink more and hope they disappear. In the mean time they have extended treatments from 12 to 14. After the 14th treatment (mid October - ish) another CT scan will be run to check on progress and discuss the future path. Soooo for now - treatment will stay the same. I am ok with that, as long as progress is being made I can handle anything.
I am really looking forward to this week as brother Chris, Nancy , Brit and Joe are here for a visit. Going to be a great week. I will most likely not have any updates till next week.
Everyone have a great week and weekend.
Remember: there is always something to smile about and having a positive outlook with a smile is contagious.
Choi for now.
Jtee.
A day with Jay is a blog which follows our journey in the battle against Cancer. Here I will share treatment updates, feelings (good or bad) and other miscellaneous information about my wife and I. We hope you find some entertainment, inspiration and become more informed about this non discriminating disease. Teresa and I have been given a challenge, we accept the challenge and we will overcome this challenge.
