Merry Christmas everyone. Only a few days left on that countdown. (further countdown updates below.) This is the time to finish up that last minute Christmas shopping, fit in as many cheesy Christmas flicks as possible and dig out those fabulous sweaters all in preparation for the seasonal gathering. The 1 day to which all this preparation is for. The so few hours where we let the small stuff slide and just simply enjoy our family and friends, the day which we try to forget the negatives which sit on our shoulders while having some Christmas cheer. The time be thankful for all we have and find joy in those around us. A true Christmas wish this year is for someone out there who is conflicted or faced with a challenge to find the courage and strength to face over come the conflict or face the challenge, bringing them Peace and happiness.
This past weekend was my first treatment session with the new PICC line. All went well - or as well as expected - no surprises. Still felt icky over the past few days, though nothing unusual for treatment weekends. Starting to feel a whole let better today. The power port removal procedure is set for Jan 4th. Not overly excited or looking forward to that as they dont knock you out - it is just a local freezing. I will spare you the rest of the details as it can be disturbing.
